How many cell layers make up an onion tissue?

when we look the onion tissue under a microscope, it looked like it has two layers but then, I doubt it because of the pics I saw in the Net.How many cell layers make up an onion tissue?
If you are referring to an epidermal peel, then it is one layer. Sometimes in placing the epidermal peel on the siide, the epidermis will fold over itself creating a double layer.

If you made a thin section of a single piece of the onion, then you would see an epidermis, parenchyma tissues, and another epidermis. You could likely see vascular tissue in a cross-section of the onion.
