I love dawdling with new makeup colors and have found a few trusty tricks. To each color is a complimentary color:
Blue = Orange
Red = Green
Yellow = Purple
To make your eyes pop simply use the complimentary shade to the color shirt or eyes you have. If you have bright green eyes, pinks or subtle rose shades, even mauvey purples or warm browns would look good. But please don't go with a bright pink if your wearing a flashy top. If the clothes are the statement, leave the makeup neutral, browns and taupes and creams. If you are wearing one color, such as a black sweater and jeans, try a few different colors of makeup with a vibrant hue in the corner of your lids. with green eyes, it is always good to keep it natural. three colors look realy good with green eyes: Brown, a really light brown, and a tanish color.

I'm not sure what else you want foundation to do besides cover skin imperfections, but I guess you could use it as an eyeshadow base. I suppose certain types of mascara could dry out eyelashes (I have experienced this with water proof mascaras), but they won't make them smaller, they will just make them fall out, which makes them ';smaller'; by default as they will have to grow back. First, use a primer for the eyes, and face, coverup, etc, and then maybe a light shimmery bronzing powder in a pinkish shade for that summery glow, then line your top lid and bottom lid with a pencil eyeliner in black, and smudge just a bit, or use a powder eyeliner.
Then, use some shimmery gold cream eyeshadow just above the line you made on the top lid, with something like this:

I have dark circles as well,and I am addicted to MAC studio sculpt because its tacky and lasts forever. I only use that, and then set it with a mineral veil, and silica powder for a flawless finish. I hate the feeling of tons of crap on my face. My circles are hereditary, and outside of surgery, my only option is concealer. You can try to get more sleep, but if you're like me - get a good concealer. Good luck!!

Definatly dont try putting tons of make-up on all different colors this will just make you look stupid and VERY Yound Ive seen people who have done it and they not only get weird looks but adults dont talk to them because they think they are lil' kids. Just act like you dont care what ppl think how old you r....This will make your appearence seem older.
Since you're so small and petite, try not wearing any make up (people may think you are just another kid playing in their mom's stuff so don't go for dark colors at all) or you could try very natural colors like light brown, honey, light mascara, and cinnamon blush. It would probably make you pop out of that 5th grader box and into the amazing fifteen year old that you are. Good Luck!

I know this East Indian (Gujarati) woman in my botany lab who wears a lot of makeup and looks really good, but would look even so much better if she just took it all off.
It's so obvious that she is gorgeous underneath it. You can tell her skin isn't perfect underneath it, but it's not bad at all, and would actually look better without anything over it. Especially in the long term. Her eyes are HUGE, dark, and deep, and her eyelashes are already like 2 inches long. Her lips are deliciously dark like a plum and the only thing she should even THINK of wearing is lip balm.
As a man, I would think that telling a girl she is so naturally gorgeous that she doesn't need any make-up at all would be a compliment: ';God made you beautiful so you wouldn't have to!';
I think most women would take this badly, like ';you do your makeup badly and look ugly'; kinda thing.

I'm starting my senior year next week. I'm in 2 AP courses, 1 honors, and a foreign language, German. This is my first time taking honors, AP, and a foreign language. Since these are more challenge courses, would colleges look at this when deciding whether to accept me. I have a 2.7 GPA and an 800 SAT (not including writing) and about an 1100 including writing.Do you think my senior year will be able to make up for my low GPA and test scores?

You should not match your eye shadow with your dress. That looks weired. You should go for brown with a little glitter and dark brown eye pencil, not liquid eyeliner. If you go to buy the eyeshadow in the mall like clinque, you can ask them for a makeover and get makeup done the day of your prom for free! I went to buy a set of make up brushes. I found out that most of department stores (Clinic, CK, L'oreal, Mac, etc,, ) only sell brushes with animal hair. -mostly goat hair and camel hair. I then went to Walmart to buy some and they only had one type of brush.

'I've been slimed', said the journal. 'I was once a popular guy, but all that changed one day when i made a mistake at a party. It was a teenage party, held by the most popular girl in school. Her name was Sierra. I had a crush on her, just like many guys in my school.
As i arrived at her house, the streets were already packed with cars. I parked my beat-up 1983 Charger a few houses away and walked towards her house. To her, it was a normal two-story house, but to me, it was a palace.
';Hey, Jack!'; said a familiar voice.
';Mark! Hey man, how've you been?';
';Good, you?';
';Pretty good. Ready for the night of our lives?'; I asked.
';Jack, can you be serious for once? This party isn't that important; I almost didn't come.';
';It is to me,'; I muttered as we climbed the porch stairs and stepped through the front door. The room within was huge, at least to me. There were thirty people dancing to music being played on a fancy stereo, and others were sitting down, drinking all kinds of drinks and chatting amongst themselves.
';Whoa! Its like stepping into another world!'; i exclaimed.
';Yeah, you said it, mate,'; said Mark calmly.
';Welcome,'; said an older man, who was dressed in a tuxedo.

';Sorry,'; i said. ';I-I thought this- this was the bathroom,'; I stammered. Come on, get it together!

Her head raised up towards mine, and she began to kiss me passionately. As she did this, she led me into another room, where the lights were off. ';Stay here,'; she said. ';I'll be right back.';
';I love you, Sierra,'; I said, and she smiled. Then she walked out of the room and closed the door behind her, leaving me in total darkness. I couldn't believe what was happening, things were going much better than I thought. Wait till Mark and Sarah hear about this!.
Suddenly, something heavy and slimy fell on top of me, knocking me over. It suddenly became very bright and I heard laughter.
Standing up, I realized I was covered in a slimy substance, and everyone was laughing at me! It was horrible! Sierra was laughing too, and apparently, she had planned this on an unknown unlucky soul, which happened to me today.
Sierra led me across the house and pushed me out the door, where i landed facefirst in the grass. I turned around to see Sierra slowly closing the door, still laughing. As our eyes made contact, a slight smile formed on her face, and she winked at me. Then the door closed, and my popularity was gone forever.

I am 13, and I wear concealer, liner, mascara,eyeshadow and lip gloss, it sounds like a little much but it really isn't. What makes people look like they are wearing lots of makeup is if it is in non natural tones like blue,green, or dark colors! I wear champagne colored eyeshadow (sometimes i mix it up) then brown liner and black mascara, and beige concealer to fit my skin tone. I feel like my makeup choices do enhance my beauty and since they are such natural colors, it does not cover it up! Hope I helped!
You're smart. Its best to ease into makeup instead of caking it onto your face. That said, its also normal to experiment. I went through a month-long phase of zombie eyeliner-- hint: not good. hah.
If I were you I'd wear a tinted moisturizer (Aveeno's make your face glow, they're really good) because it's more of a good-for-you skin product (it has SPF 20) vs. makeup, though it conceals blemishes and overall evens skintone.
If you're doing mascara, do something healthy and natural. Neutrogena makes a good mascara, but I used to use Maybelline Full 'n' Soft. Don't go to the volumizing ones yet.
A liner on the top lid is very appropriate for school. You may want to try a brown instead of a black, though-- it can be too harsh for school.
If you have extra time in the morning, a dusting of rose or bronze shadow on your creases draws attention to your eyes in mote of a pretty way than a 'look at me' way.

I think that if you're asking this question it means you don't have to worry you'll ever overdo it with the makeup. It's good that you put this kind of though into it.
Here's all you should need. Just get a compact of pressed powder and put that on throughout the day to control the shine. And a light lip gloss. That should do it. You'll feel fresh and look glowy and natural for a girl your age!
It depends on whether you need it or not....if you have really good skin then avoid wearing makeups such as foundations, concealors ect.
You shouldnt wear makeup just to fit in anyway...i am 14 too and i wear bronzer, mascara and lipgloss everyday. Plus if i get a pimple or a spot i use a concealor pen.

I just use eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss and I'm heading into highschool. I do put thick lines on my eyes (eyeliner) but I'm into rock music and fashion so you know, haha. You could wear lighter shades of eyeliner like brown and light brown and so on and wear brown mascara. Hope this helps!

I really think at 14 you do not need amke up but if you really want to wear it just keep it simple. eye liner put on thinly and some mascara. and a little bit of lip gloss. you probably have good skin so dont start clogging those youthful pores with nasty makeup.

I am 13, and I wear concealer, liner, mascara,eyeshadow and lip gloss, it sounds like a little much but it really isn't. What makes people look like they are wearing lots of makeup is if it is in non natural tones like blue,green, or dark colors! I wear champagne colored eyeshadow (sometimes i mix it up) then brown liner and black mascara, and beige concealer to fit my skin tone. I feel like my makeup choices do enhance my beauty and since they are such natural colors, it does not cover it up! Hope I helped!
You're smart. Its best to ease into makeup instead of caking it onto your face. That said, its also normal to experiment. I went through a month-long phase of zombie eyeliner-- hint: not good. hah.
If I were you I'd wear a tinted moisturizer (Aveeno's make your face glow, they're really good) because it's more of a good-for-you skin product (it has SPF 20) vs. makeup, though it conceals blemishes and overall evens skintone.
If you're doing mascara, do something healthy and natural. Neutrogena makes a good mascara, but I used to use Maybelline Full 'n' Soft. Don't go to the volumizing ones yet.
A liner on the top lid is very appropriate for school. You may want to try a brown instead of a black, though-- it can be too harsh for school.
If you have extra time in the morning, a dusting of rose or bronze shadow on your creases draws attention to your eyes in mote of a pretty way than a 'look at me' way.

you may think that you'll look gorgeous with makeup, and yes you will, but when you grow up, and don't put makeup, your skin will look unhealthy and weak, leading up to more makeup

It so depends on your style. I'm 15 and I've been wearing like tons of makeup since I was 13. If your fine with it try a little blush/bronzer (which ever one you want) and some foundation. I think that if you're asking this question it means you don't have to worry you'll ever overdo it with the makeup. It's good that you put this kind of though into it.
Here's all you should need. Just get a compact of pressed powder and put that on throughout the day to control the shine. And a light lip gloss. That should do it. You'll feel fresh and look glowy and natural for a girl your age!
It depends on whether you need it or not....if you have really good skin then avoid wearing makeups such as foundations, concealors ect.
You shouldnt wear makeup just to fit in anyway...i am 14 too and i wear bronzer, mascara and lipgloss everyday. Plus if i get a pimple or a spot i use a concealor pen.

Do we make up stereotypes then follow them or are they indicating actual characteristics?
I ask this as most stereotypes have a grain of truth, is that cause people act like what they're expected to act like?
Example: I'm Irish and every time an American talks to me I become more typically Irish cause that's what their expecting, can't help it.Do we make up stereotypes then follow them or are they indicating actual characteristics?

stereotypes are generalizations about a group of people based on anything from race to religion to whatever. it is the stupidity of human nature to associate certain races with certain behaviors or characteristics; for example, a stereotype can be made that all muslims strap bombs to their chest and blow themselves up; this simply isn't true for all muslims, but for a few brainwashed, weak minded radicals that destroy the good name of the religion for everyone else. Stereotypes will probably never go away, the best thing to do is to either laugh it off as good clean fun or take offense. That's completely up to the person and the situation.

I'm generally labeled a ';goth'; or ';punk';, because of the way I dress/think. Now, stereotypes, to me, are a bunch of crap that people make up to make themselves feel better about themselves- either so they can boast that they're something in particular, or so they can bash people in a stereotype that they don't approve of. That's what I get a lot of. People can be so horrible to people that they don't understand...why not just leave them alone and let them do their own thing?
Anyway.
It really depends on the individual person, I think, and what they choose to do/think.
I think people do gravitate towards certain stereotypes, based on their personality and views, and that's really great that we can define ourselves like that. On the other hand, we often tend to take it too far, and start assuming things about other people, because some types of people tend to misunderstand other types of people.
For example, because I choose to dress in a different way, people assume that I'm some dark, satanic, druggie freak, when I'm none of that. I'm a very happy, fun loving, healthy, etc, person that just enjoys being different.
So what I'm trying to say, is that I think stereotypes aren't about WHAT we are at all, I think it's about how we like to judge and place others, and ourselves.
So yeah, that turned out to be a really long answer, I'm sorry. XD

I ride a big noisy motorcycle - I have for over 38 years. For most of that time, the stereotype was: any female that rides motorcycles is a ';dike';. I am far from it, but I am aware some people still believe that stereotype. I can even understand where and when that got started, but I do not CARE. Never in a million years would I even think to act like a dike just because that is the stereotype. THAT is just ridiculous.
There's truth to some stereotypes because how could they have gotten started in the first place I'm also Irish %26amp; I've been asked several times is it true that you Irish are all drunks %26amp; live on potatoes lol %26amp; of course I say No My bf is Puerto Rican she %26amp; her husband are far from the stereotype that we hear but we all have good %26amp; bad in all our Cultures Slainte (cheers %26amp; health)
It's just our culture and media blowing things out of proportion as usual. You can't blame the people and cultures who ccollectively enjoy something. It's just that. Their CULTURE. Plain and simple.

My friend wears A LOT of makeup for no reason. Every where we go she wears foundation, eye liner, mascara, blush, eye shadow, and lip gloss and she is only 13!!
