try a thick 1960's liquid eyeliner on top and put dark shadow on just the lid. apply several coats of mascara. its different than the typical black liner around the whole eye.





if you want it all around just blend the liner with a medium thickness brush and use a highlighting color (such as a shimmery gold or white) on the corners to give you a bright and not emo look.

if you want dark eyes, the key is to BLEND BLEND BLEND to create a smokier look.


try a black shimmer like MACs Black tied on the lid and crease, than blend that into a highlight shade like nylon onto your brow bone.





or if you want to go bold with dark lips try MAC mattene in kirsch for a deep plum lip.
Instead of using just blacks like the emos do, use brown eyeshadow and eyeliner and mascara.


It'll still look dramatic but not heavy enough so that somebody could call you an emo.

i would just use a thin line of black liner above the lash line and in the water line. add a natural brown shadow and black mascara. keep lips nude
Don't just use black. Try dark blues, deep plums, dark browns and stuff like that.
Use a dark color !!
