How much make-up should a 14-year old wear?

im 14 and going into 8th grade. Some girls at my school wears a LOT of make-up, but i don't want it to be noticeable. i want it to enhance my beauty not cover it up. i wear like a thin liner, but dont know if i should have more or less. Any advice? -Livvy?How much make-up should a 14-year old wear?
ok i totally agree that makeup should be subtle and enhance your beauty! i think you should stick to what you're doing, it sounds good to me! maybe a little mascara with a thin layer of eye liner and a light eye shadow. How much make-up should a 14-year old wear?
u should use mascara and some lip gloss if ur looking pale mb a bronzer but not alot of it that will keep u looking fresh and not washed out Report Abuse

I am 13, and I wear concealer, liner, mascara, eyeshadow and lip gloss, it sounds like a little much but it really isn't. What makes people look like they are wearing lots of makeup is if it is in non natural tones like blue, green, or dark colors! I wear champagne colored eyeshadow (sometimes i mix it up) then brown liner and black mascara, and beige concealer to fit my skin tone. I feel like my makeup choices do enhance my beauty and since they are such natural colors, it does not cover it up! Hope I helped!
You're smart. Its best to ease into makeup instead of caking it onto your face. That said, its also normal to experiment. I went through a month-long phase of zombie eyeliner-- hint: not good. hah.

If I were you I'd wear a tinted moisturizer (Aveeno's make your face glow, they're really good) because it's more of a good-for-you skin product (it has SPF 20) vs. makeup, though it conceals blemishes and overall evens skintone.

If you're doing mascara, do something healthy and natural. Neutrogena makes a good mascara, but I used to use Maybelline Full 'n' Soft. Don't go to the volumizing ones yet.

A liner on the top lid is very appropriate for school. You may want to try a brown instead of a black, though-- it can be too harsh for school.

If you have extra time in the morning, a dusting of rose or bronze shadow on your creases draws attention to your eyes in mote of a pretty way than a 'look at me' way.

Hope I helped hon :) Enjoy being 14, don't try to look 21.
A 14 year old should wear no makeup. I'm around your age, and I don't wear any makeup.

makeup makes your skin rough and soggy after a while

Everyone thinks its good for your skin, and they all are wrong

Beauty should be natural and not artificial

you may think that you'll look gorgeous with makeup, and yes you will, but when you grow up, and don't put makeup, your skin will look unhealthy and weak, leading up to more makeup

All I'm saying is that take care of your skin, makeup doesn't make a person beautiful, it just ruins their skin

hope i got to ya!
Well girls who were alot of make up is just making there skin bad remember if you were alot of make up its just gonna make you look older when you don't were any.

But It also depends on your parents saying it's ok.

But Im also 14 turning 15 soon and I just wear alittle eye liner and eyeshadow the color of my skin.

so you should try alittle eyeliner and some eyeshadow and add a little more as you get older
It so depends on your style. I'm 15 and I've been wearing like tons of makeup since I was 13. If your fine with it try a little blush/bronzer (which ever one you want) and some foundation. Also since you already wear a little bit of eyeliner coat on some mascara and you will look really natural and gorgeous! Hope I helped ;) -mariam
okay, so alot of nude colors[so no bright colors] maybe start using a tinted moistrizer[will even out ur skin tone %26amp; give u a little color + moistrizes] also mascara, wear brown or black but i think brown will look more natural[but it may depend on your hair color/skin tone] %26amp; i think you're eye liner is perrrrfect!

- then you're GOOD to GO! (:

hope that wasnt too complicated lol. :p
I think that if you're asking this question it means you don't have to worry you'll ever overdo it with the makeup. It's good that you put this kind of though into it.

Here's all you should need. Just get a compact of pressed powder and put that on throughout the day to control the shine. And a light lip gloss. That should do it. You'll feel fresh and look glowy and natural for a girl your age!
It depends on whether you need it or not....if you have really good skin then avoid wearing makeups such as foundations, concealors ect.

You shouldnt wear makeup just to fit in anyway...i am 14 too and i wear bronzer, mascara and lipgloss everyday. Plus if i get a pimple or a spot i use a concealor pen.
im also turnin 14. but i think u shouldnt wear like too much where u go really crazy.

i would wear like eyeliner and lip gloss.

i wouldnt go crazy by wearin foundation power things and like blush. i dont think its the right time to do that.

also...its best if u dont put alot alot. it would look nice if u stay simple. thts wut i think :)
I just use eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss and I'm heading into highschool. I do put thick lines on my eyes (eyeliner) but I'm into rock music and fashion so you know, haha. You could wear lighter shades of eyeliner like brown and light brown and so on and wear brown mascara. Hope this helps!
Use a light concelor to cover under eyes and blemishes

then use a bronzer powder as a blush to bring out ur cheek bones,

light eyeshadow in the inner corner, curl ur lashes use mascara no eyeliner tends to make eyes look smaller, and can look overdone with a light lipstick or lipbalm :] works the bomb
I really think at 14 you do not need amke up but if you really want to wear it just keep it simple. eye liner put on thinly and some mascara. and a little bit of lip gloss. you probably have good skin so dont start clogging those youthful pores with nasty makeup.
Mascara, blush, lipgloss, and maybe light, neutral colors of eyeshadow. Enhance, don't replace. And most importantly, wear what you're comfortable with :)
Tinted moisturizer, concealer, light peachy blush, Light-clear lip gloss, eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner, eyelash curlers, bronzer. I occasionally wear more. I'm 13 going to 8th grade.
i'm almost 14 and i really think that what you're wearing now is good. i agree a lot of girls wear too much makeup, i myself have gone overboard before but you just have to keep it simple really!

hope this helps %26amp; good luck :)
Use natural shades, like browns and pinks, and use a light foundation thats the same color as your skin. I put my eyeliner above my bottom lashes, don't know if you've tried it :] But what you do now is fine.
try this...

1) apply a light powder bronzer

2) put on a little bit of blush

3) use a tiny bit of eye liner like your doing now

4) use a little bit of shimmery eye shadow but not too much

5) use some mascara on the top but not too much

6) complete with lip gloss
wear whatever you're comfortable with.

(also, wearing a lot of make up doesn't necessarily ';cover up'; beauty)
uh i know what you mean...all the emo/scene girls at my school wear loads of eyeliner and eyeshadow...they can't even put it on right!

Anyways just a little mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss and eyeshadow will do ^^
Try this link on youtube. Hope it helps.
Eyeliner, Mascara and Lipgloss %26lt;3

Oh, and shouldn't you be going into 9th grade?
liners good

also add one coat of mascara

nude eyeshadow on the lid %26amp; light brown on the outer corner

also lipgloss=]
A little foundation, a dab of mascara, and chapstick
dont wear too much. your young. you dont want ppl getting the wrong impression.
Uhm, i just wear mascara and eyeliner ^.^
personally, i don't care how much they wear anymore but i would say just a little bit of foundation and you're all good
i am 14 too and i only use the basics like foundation, mascara, lipgloss x
Not much if any.
In my opinion? No make up at all.
14 in grade 8? lol im 11 going into grade 7...anywhoo.....it seems like you have a good idea on how much makeup to wear, you should be good.
